Collaboration with development Agencies / Entrepreneurship Fund ΙΙ - Bank of Karditsa

The Cooperative Bank of Karditsa, actively supporting the development of local entrepreneurship, actively participates in the Action of the Entrepreneurship Fund of Hellenic Development Bank S.A. “Entrepreneurship Fund II” for the implementation of business investment plans and for the financing of new and existing small and medium-sized businesses with new working capital loans.

The action “Entrepreneurship Fund II” secures the financing of small and medium-sized businesses for Working Capital or Investment Loans with 40% interest-free financing, as 40% of the loan coming from the Entrepreneurship Fund is interest-free and has two sub-programs:

Subprogram 1

Loans to finance investment projects (a)  incorporated into a Development Act or other state aid schemes and
(b) which have not been included in State aid schemes and which have not been implemented.

Loan amount: 25,000€ - 1,500.000€.

Duration: 5-10 years with the possibility of a grace period of up to 2 years.

The grace period is included in the maximum duration of 10 years.


Subprogram 2

Business Development Loans (Special Purpose / Working Capital).

Loan amount: 10,000€ - 500,000€ & up to 50% of the business turnover as demonstrated in E3 or the periodic VAT returns of the financial year preceding the application date or up to 50% of the orders of the current year.

Duration: 24 to 60 months with the possibility of a grace period of up to 6 months.

The grace period is included in the maximum duration of 5 years

Eligible are:

  • The very small, small and medium-sized businesses that operate legally in Greece
  • Businesses that are tax and insurance aware
  • Businesses that do not exceed (including Gross Grant Equivalent of the requested financing) the maximum cumulation of State aid under EU Regulation 1407/2013 de minimis (see Annex 3 / de minimis declaration).

The business submits the financing application electronically through the State Aid Information System (SAIS) on the website  ependyseis.gr where it is assigned a unique application code and date, which are notified to the Bank.

Subprogram 3

Loans for businesses affected by the measures taken to limit the spread of the coronavirus, with interest rate subsidy.

For existing businesses: Up to 50% of the business turnover, as demonstrated in E3 or the periodic VAT returns of the financial year preceding the application date or up to 50% of the orders of the current year.

For start-ups: Up to 50% of current year orders or 80% of credit purchases.

Duration: 24 to 60 months (lump sum or from the first partial disbursement) with the possibility of a grace period of 6 to 12 months, during which only interest is paid.

If the above amounts are not distinct, the loan can not exceed 100% of equity

  • The interest rate for the first two years, which is subsidized 100%, remains stable and can not exceed 8%.
  • Any contribution of Law 128/75 as well as possible interest on arrears is not subsidized.
  • A condition for receiving the amount of the subsidized interest is that the business, at the time of disbursement of the subsidized interest as defined in the loan agreement, does not show overdue debts from the specific financing.
  • The business must maintain for the entire period of two years, when it receives an interest rate subsidy, the same number of employees that it employed on 19.03.2020, based on the data of the ERGANI system.
  • The business submits the application for financing electronically through the State Aid Information System (SAIS) on the website ependyseis.gr where it selects the preferable Bank to loan.
